Flick Face-Off: Kung Fu Panda vs Zohan

For the weekend of 6/6/08 – It’s a martial arts match up this week with Jack Black bringing the kung fu as an animated panda versus Adam Sandler‘s Israeli martial artist/soldier/hairdresser comedy. While neither are likely to have Indiana Jones level openings, both should keep the box offices busy all weekend. The big question is will the more family-friendly Kung Fu Panda out-sell the latest and likely much more scatological Sandler entry?

And, yeah, my guess last week was pretty much reverse of what it actually was, but hey, who knew that women actually went to movies? I’m pretty sure I can guarantee that Sex won’t rank any higher than #3 this week as Kung Fu Panda will take the top spot at $40 million followed very closely by You Don’t Mess with the Zohan at $38 million.
