Harry Potter prequel

This one almost slipped past us… A couple of weeks ago, Waterstone’s posted a handwritten, 800-word prequel of the Harry Potter books, contributed for a charity auction by J.K. Rowling herself. Rowling describes the untitled short story as “from the prequel I am not working on.” The story relates a heretofore unknown episode amongst the many adventures of the teenage Sirius Black and James Potter.
