An Inhuman Love of Lego

I know I risk losing some of my geek credentials by making this admission, but I’m not much of a toy collector. I redeem myself with this, though: I love Legos in an inhuman kind of way.

I grew up on Legos, and I’m not ashamed to admit that as I’ve grown into adulthood, I never lost my desire to collect and build. Lego Star Wars is my favorite (though this Lego Tumbler set from The Dark Knight is calling to me); I could collect those sets for the rest of my life. (And how sweet is the new Death Star diorama set?)

If you, like me, adore the original little plastic bricks, you owe it to yourself to check out Gizmodo’s Gizmodo Goes to Lego feature, which is currently ongoing. It seems that one of their regular contributors — a Lego fan after my own heart — has made a special trip to Lego’s headquarters in Denmark, where he’s been granted access to secret vaults, factory floors, giant on-site constructions, and every other forbidden shangri-la that until now has existed only in our dreams.

The best entry in the series thus far is the one containing a video showing the library vault filled with rolling bookshelves that house every Lego set ever sold — and none of them have ever been opened! Can you imagine? It could be the closest thing to Heaven this side of Krispy Kreme.

Hi, I also love legos. I was wondering if you could buy the both exclusive clone wars sets for me. I will pay you very handsomely for doing this for me.
