Yesterday we mentioned the DeadCentral.com story that a third Ghostbusters film was in the works in which the old cast would pass the bustin’ torch to the likes of Seth Rogan and Steve Carell. Although it sounded legitimate, today FilmSchoolRejects.com reports that the story was merely a rumor.
The original cast did reunite to record dialog for an upcoming video game. The game’s script looks to be in cannon with the film series and was written by Dan Akroyd and Harold Ramis. Outside of it, no other reunions are currently planned.
