Odds are if you’re reading this you know all about Mr. Simon Pegg. The British actor, best known for films like Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, is a proud Star Wars geek that has made no bones about his disappointment with 1999′s Star Wars prequel The Phantom Menace.
WENN.COM reports that Pegg is considering trying to mend fences with director George Lucas in hopes to land a job writing for the upcoming Star Wars television series. However, he fears his harsh critique of Phantom will prevent that from ever happening.
Pegg says, “I might try to wheedle my way back into the affections of Lucasfilm (Lucas’ production company) and write an episode of the new live action Star Wars TV series.”
Pegg’s magic touch could make the television series even more appealing. Let’s hope/pray that Lucas can find it in his heart to make this happen.
