The folks at Pixar have always been reluctant when it comes to producing sequels. Toy Story 2, of course, was the one notable exception. Now, though, it seems the studio has had a change of heart as they’re working on producing follow-ups to some of their films … just not in film form.
The film studio has drafted comic publisher Boom Studios to produce books based upon some of their properties. First up, The Incredibles will be featured in a 4-issue miniseries written by Mark Waid. According to Total Film, the plot of the series revolves around Mr. Incredible’s failing powers hindering his ability to join the family on missions.
Toy Story is expected to next be adapted to comic form. No word on whether or not Cars, which is actually getting a film sequel, will ever make it to printed form.
