Blake Peebles, 16, of Raliegh, N.C. is possibly the world’s most passionate Guitar Hero player. So passionate, in fact, that he convinced his parents to let him drop out of high school to focus on a career in professional gaming.

“We couldn’t take the complaining anymore,” said his mother. So, her and his father allowed him to leave school last September and continue his education through in-home tutors and focus on playing the game. So far, he has earned roughly $1,000 worth of prizes (mostly in meals and freebies) in local competitions. Peebles hopes to eventually compete nationally but has yet to realize that goal.
