According to upi.com, 20th Century Fox has confirmed that they’ve temporarily shuttered production on the new Joss Whedon helmed series Dollhouse until September 25th. Joss made the request in order to work out a few details (script writing/tweaking). A representative for the show told E! News that all filming has stopped until September 25th, but the delay will not have any effect on the airing of the show, still scheduled for January 2009.

Also, in an attempt to allay any fears that Fox could revert to their old Quick Kill policy, the representative followed up that the studio still very much believes in Joss and the show. I’ll believe it when I see a Joss Whedon show on Fox that lasts more than 13 episodes that were aired in order. *crosses fingers*
