E For All Expo 2008 Returns to LA in One Week!

A week from now, we’ll be heading to the 2nd annual E For All Expo at the LA Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles. I covered this event for another site last year and a good time was had by all. E For All is essentially an answer to the downsizing of the once massive E3 convention held at the same venue. The main difference between E For All and E3 is that it’s not just for industry insiders and press. It’s for everyone! Last year was far from the massive spectacle of E3, but it wasn’t without it’s thrills. The debuts of Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Nintendo Wii as well as competitions for everything from World of Warcraft to Halo 3 to Call of Duty 4 to Guitar Hero III to Rock Band (debuting on more than 3 stages on the floor!). Whether you were a PC gamer, a harcore console player, a wannabe musician, or the type to just enjoy a few rounds on the Ms Pac-Man arcade machine (I took 2nd place in Namco’s tournament), E For All had something for you. With Microsoft taking the center stage this year, there’s a good chance that things will be bigger than ever, even if all of the industry’s big players aren’t putting in appearances. The smaller scale allows anyone to get their hands on just about everything they want to play without too much standing in line. It’s less manic and intense, but that doesn’t detract from the fun factor one bit.
