Yet Another Doctor Who Casting Rumor

doctor whoA while back the nerd blogs the world over were buzzing that actor Russell Tovey would become the next Doctor on BBC’s Doctor Who once current star David Tennant decides to step down. This announcement was taken as gospel but now appears to be nothing more than a rumor.

Paterson Joseph, a former Who guest-star, is said to now be in the running for the role. The actor recently told Sci Fi Wire that he’s ” …on a list of God knows how many others, but flattered to be considered.”  Joseph would be the first black actor to portray the iconic character.

With so many rumors circulating about the next Doctor thins have gotten a bit confusing. I don’t think I’ll believe anything until I see the next regeneration on my television screen.
