Titans Clash in the Trailer for 2010 Remake

Some may cry sacrilege, but I’m not sure that geeks make too many other types of noises these days with so much of classic pop culture being remade these days in movie, tv, and comic form.

But this actually looks cool. It has people in it I recognize (and so will the general non-geeky public – hey, is that Liam Neeson as Zeus?!). Here’s hoping for some great action (even if it does borrow heavily from the 300 color palette, just slightly brighter) and a Kraken that becomes the new standard for massive sea-dwelling mega-monsters. No, I imagine there won’t be a whit of Harryhausen stop motion magic in it, but I’m sure the makers know full well that there would be no digital effects in this movie without that legend’s contributions to the original and so many other classic fantasy films.
