Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Trailer

Great googaly moogaly. Whether you’re a stickler for the films’ faithfulness (or faithlessness as some see it) to the books, you have to admit this looks stunning. While parts of the book seemed to meander a bit (I may need to re-read it just to get a fresh perspective), the ending was nothing short of devastating and exhilarating. These 2 and a half minutes contain both (check out the 2 minute mark). As long as the 3D doesn’t distract from the storytelling, this muggle is all up for taking one (or two, in this case) last dips into the world of the Boy Who Lived.

At least until I can get to the Harry Potter theme park at Universal Studios in Florida (oh wait, I’m planning to go in August).

I’m not sure what else can be said. Here’s hoping they run them back to back next summer in theaters. Or, hell, run all 8 movies back to back. What better way to blow a summer day?
