Dexter Devoted Dying to Catch the Killer Season 5 Premiere This Week!

It’s been way too long since the devastating season 4 finale of Dexter. Sure, I’ve been lucky enough to catch a little sneak peek of the season 5 premiere when they shot some scenes outside Dexter and Rita’s house last June (in Long Beach, CA, not Miami, FL), but that’s nothing compared to the taste fans are getting this week. Crowds of the Dexter devoted will be lined up at Sheraton/Starwood hotels across the country to catch an advance screening of the season 5 opener (due to hit SHOWTIME next Sunday, September 26th at 9pm). For those who can’t wait until Sunday, participating Sheratons across the country are also offering the season 5 premiere RIGHT NOW, FREE in each room until the air date.

I’m ready to head out to the LA screening Tuesday night. Is there a screening in your town? Are you going? (Sorry, no screening in Miami, oddly enough…) If there wasn’t a screening within reach, I’d almost consider getting a bunch of friends to book a Sheraton hotel room for the night just to watch it early. Then party like a serial killer and leave the room awash in blood from wall to wall (okay, maybe just karo syrup). Actually, I do not endorse or condone such actions, but if you did choose to do that, prepare to have the damages charged to your credit card. And be sure to leave a big tip for the maid…
