Borders Files Chapter 11 and Plans to Close 200 Stores (Complete List)

If you love books or at the very least know how to read, there’s a chance you’re not too happy about the closing of numerous Borders bookstores as a result of their filing for bankruptcy. Two hundred Borders and Waldenbooks stores will be shuttered in the coming months, effectively cutting the number of their publicly available bathrooms by 33% (hey, I get around that much reading material and… things happen). Of course, when it comes to brick and mortar stores, Barnes & Noble, the current #1 US bookseller will still be around if you’re the type who’s less likely to purchase your reading material online (a steadily shrinking demographic in the world of Amazon.com and eBooks) nor use the bathrooms available at home or work.

So what will you do when your local Waldenbooks at the mall is turned into yet another Forever 21? Or the Borders in that shopping plaza next to the movie theater is suddenly filled with clearance outlet furniture? Will you get your books at B&N or will you move to an online source?
