RED HOT REVIEWS: Hobo with a Shotgun

Let me introduce you to our latest feature: RED HOT REVIEWS by our pal Luis Calderon. Luis is an LA native who creates his own comics for Spaceboy Studios Productions and is a hardcore lover of movies, both good and bad, but especially of good bad movies. His first review is for the independent, modern grindhouse Rutger Hauer starring film, Hobo With a Shotgun. It is only slightly spoilery in the description of some characters (no major plot points are revealed), but he doesn’t hold back in his assessment of the film and of his LA movie-going experience (he saw the film at the Nuart Theater on Santa Monica Blvd). As he mentions in the video, Hobo with a Shotgun only runs through Thursday, May 26th at the Nuart Theater, so if this is your can o’ beans, catch it while you can. With all of the big blockbusters raiding the theaters this time of year, this might be one of your only chances to see it on the big screen with people who can truly appreciate it for what it is.

Note that both the review and the trailer below contain strong language and might frighten squirrels and a variety of the more timid woodland creatures… but especially squirrels (they’re such wusses, seriously).
