Here’s your first look at the first official reveal trailer for Activision‘s Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, where it appears we’re on the brink of World War 3, if the end title logo is any indication. I expect we’ll be seeing lots more of this at E3 in a few weeks. It looks as intense as you’d expect a Call of Duty game to be and I’ll probably be playing it on PC when it comes out because I’m a total nerd and Microsoft never gave me that Xbox 360 Slim last year after their E3 press conference (my old one red ringed itself to death a long time ago). But I do love my keyboard/mouse control scheme. I think it’s more precise. But that’s just me. No matter what, I imagine the hardcore shooter fanboys are going to eat this up when it’s released on November 8th, 2011.
By the way, I’m sure Inception isn’t he first movie or tv show or game to ever use the repeating drone sound, but it now seems like everyone is using it as the bed for every damn trailer these days…

There will also be a Wii version of the game that includes a 17-pound controller, that’s shaped like a M-249 Machine Gun. This level begins with a pilot cruising above London using the familiar infrared vision of an AC-130 gunship.
