Luis Calderon is back with his first movie review in his Living After Midnight review series, where he catches the midnight screening of the latest blockbuster and gives you the lowdown on what to expect from the film. He also gives you a glimpse of his moviegoing experience from the beginning, middle (sort of), and immediately afterward at a local LA theater.
This time Luis hit up the AMC Del Amo 18 in Torrance, CA, to catch the first screening of The Hangover Part 2, the sequel to the biggest, most money-makingest rated R movie in history (for now). The Wolfpack is back and Bangkok’s got them. And Luis was there last night to tell you how it went. I thought maybe it would have been better if he had spent a day binge drinking, blacking out, and then going to see the midnight screening with a brain busting hangover to keep with the theme, but then I’m sure that would have led to other thematic movie review situations. For example, mutating himself with harmful radiation for the X-Men First Class screening would have just led to lots of involuntary vomiting and hair loss. And no one likes that kind of stuff to happen at a movie theater… at least not the midnight screenings. Leave the vomiting to the “Mommy and Me” kiddie screenings. Anyway, check out his very sober late night review below.
And if you have no idea what The Hangover Part 2 is, I’ve included the trailer at the bottom. Also, you need to get out more.
